connect with our community

“There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither slave nor free; nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Galatians 3:28

People of every background, gender, sexual orientation and social class are invited to be a part of our community.

We are just getting started and are quite small, but there’s strength in smallness! Health and integrity are more important to us than size.

WHY WE EXIST

Our mission is to seek the Shalom (peace, health, wholeness) of South Pasadena with the help of Christ, our Lord.

WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE

We currently feel called to join God at work in South Pasadena by combining urban chaplaincy and small group discipleship as a highly relational Christian community that facilitates transformative connections with the city’s most vulnerable.

OUR BELIEFS

We believe following Jesus means loving God and loving all our neighbors.

One way we can be loving is by giving space for a diversity of theological perspectives. For that reason, we don’t have a formal faith statement. If you resonate with our mission, there’s a seat at our table for you!

OUR STANCE ON WOMEN & LGBTQ+ INCLUSION

We are affirming in practice and Third Way in theology. That means, while individuals are free to hold disparate theological perspectives surrounding gender and sexuality, as an organization we fully welcome and encourage our sisters and LGBTQ+ siblings to participate in every area of our ministry including leadership. We are committed to facilitating a safe environment for people of every gender identity and sexual orientation.

“Welcome the person who is weak in faith—but not in order to argue about differences of opinion… Each person must have their own convictions… So stop judging each other… let’s strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up.”
